MAF Forest Biosecurity director Peter Thomson says plans to deal with the recent gypsy moth found in Hamilton are "progressing well". A lone male gypsy moth was discovered by MAF's early warning surveillance trapping programme in March but to date is the only one trapped.
Ground searches for any sign of the moth will be carried out during winter.
